Batik is an old Kyrgyz tradition of drawing on silk scarves by hands. The ornaments on the represent Kyrgyz culture and history. The elements of drawing demonstrate abstracted shapes of wild animals and birds, nature, petroglyphs and national, Kyrgyz ornaments. Each scarf is unique, as it is impossible to repeat absolutely identical print on the next garment. The material used in producing Batik is pure silk. The paint used in drawings is prepared from natural ingredients. There are not many masters left who still practice this particular art – Batik. Besides scarves, the artists produce very nice and large drawings similar to the wall paintings, which can serve as décor on the walls.
